Overview The Zephyr is our low-end budget time clock, bringing you the power of an automated time & attendance terminal at a low budget price. The Zephyr is compact in design, and easy to use. It allows the user to clock in & out via contactless badge reader or keypad. The user also has the option of viewing their last recorded time, transferring departments, or even entering other information like tips, miles, etc. The large LCD provides maximum readability, and the on-board speaker provides audible & vocalized confirmation of a complete or incomplete transaction. The Zephyr also comes with an optional internal bell scheduler allowing you to use the internal speaker to signal common start, end and break times. In addition, data can be optionally downloaded directly from the Zephyr, via a USB disk drive (included with purchase), making the Zephyr great for locations without physical connectivity. For example construction sites, landscaping vehicles, etc. The Zephyr comes standard with two easy ways to connect to the InfiniTime Labor Management System. The Zephyr comes with a 50 in. RS-232 cable for direct communication to a PC. The Zephyr also comes standard with a TCP/IP Ethernet port for communication across a network. The Zephyr comes with both options for at no additional cost, so use the best connection for you! How It Works While most users will simply clock in & out, often in less than 20 ms, the user friendly interactive menus give users the ability to transfer departments, enter other information such as tips, miles etc. The Zephyr is capable of gathering user information in two simple ways. The keypad allows the employee to enter a unique PIN and password or the employee can use a contactless badge. The Zephyr is a “swipe and go” system and employees never need to select “in or out” during the Time & Attendance process. Some companies charge over double to purchase contactless or proximity badges... Inception Technologies provides high quality contactless/proximity cards at the same price as magnetic stripe or barcode badges! The data collected by the Zephyr terminal is then sent to the InfiniTime Labor Management System. With InfiniTime, detailed reports can be generated, exceptions tracked, and data passed on to payroll for check processing.
